my creative space...softies for mirabel

It's been a looooong time since I've made a toy!
I started this a few weeks ago thinking I'd whip it up in no time...but the embroidery took a little longer than I expected (why are all of my projects like this I wonder ??)
Instead of a button on his bottom I made a little pom pom! Please note that I made this from a kit I found at Spotlight. I'm not that clever!
Anyway, finished now and in the post today for the Softies for Mirabel appeal. Look at all the toys in the window at Meet me at Mikes...awesome
Go here to find out more...it's not to late to get a toy in...and when you've done that head over to Kootoyoo for a bunch of creatives...and someone please make it stop raining!! So over it.

  1. Gosh you are clever. What a beautiful toy. I like the patch on one eye, cross for a mouth, and the tail is funny and adorable. Well done Kerry, and what a great cause.

  6. Love it Kerry! Particularly the pom pom tail, it's just gorgeous, and for such a good cause too. But do you really need to ask why this took longer than you thought....it's just how things roll. All good things are worth the wait though, and your softie is definitely a good thing! K xx

  21. May I just say that it is AMAZING! so cute! and the pom-pom at the back is just like a cherry on the top! ;)
You are a true inspiration for me. I hope someday to sew some distant relative of your bunny - I'm saying distant (or rather deformed ;)) because first I need to find a way to LEARN to sew. So far my fingers and hands are looking as if they have had a meeting with cactus. ;)
