Magnetic Island bound...someone has to do it

Despite the very unfair perfectly understandable comments questioning my reason for going to Magnetic Island (it truly is work you doubting ones!)...I thought I'd post some pics of a gorgeous house that's for sale there at the moment...provided you have a spare $2.49 million in change that is!
Not too shabby...could do lots of good work there with my trusty laptop! Not that that's where I'm going to be. And for those who don't know how very big the main island of our wonderful country is...this is where I'm coming from and going to...morning in Canberra, afternoon in a tropical paradise very hot and unpleasant working environment.

I'll be posting the top ten tomorrow as scheduled...it just won't be from a cold Canberra winter! Yes, yes I know it doesn't get that cold here...but it's nowhere near as warm as Magnetic Island...I did say I was going there right??
Don't forget to enter my cute leather tote bag giveaway here. And after you've done that head on over to my bloggy soul sister Kerri with an 'i' at Driftwood Interiors...there's some of her original art up for offer to a lucky winner (that'd have to be me, but feel free to give it your best shot just in case it isn't!)
all house images from here...maybe I'll check it out while I'm there (oh that's right. no time. working, working...)

  1. You really need to define what you Aussies think cold is! Hope you manage to have some time to play while away! Beautiful home for sale - wonder if it comes with a window cleaner? Have a safe trip.

  2. You have a wonderful, safe trip sweet, and after that lovely mention I take back all my bitter, jealous comments, questioning your definition of 'work'!!! Although, I have to tell you, posting those pics of your typical island shack probably hasn't done your cause any favours! Enjoy the warm weather, it's gorgeous here in Brissie so I'm guessing balmy Magnetic Island will be sensational! K xx

  3. Dear Kerry, You will, I trust, be not too appalled when I confess that I have absolutely no idea where Magnetic Island is. It sounds a little like the kind of place which might have been used to experiment with uranium; commonsense tells me this cannot be so and I am sure it will be, or indeed is, lovely. The house you feature is very swish - perhaps a little too much white for me and rather lacking in the shabby [emphasis on this] chic which I have known, perforce, all my life.

I am sorry you are having to work and I do hope that proper arrangements are in hand to feed Buffy during your absence.

Oh and I think you were mistaken in your post...I am going to be the lucky winner of Kerri's gorgeous art giveaway :):):) But I guess if it isn't me, then it would be just as wonderful if it is you! (Hope I wasn't too cheeky). Hope you have a fabulous time away, make sure you find some you time in amongst all the work time. ~ Tina xx

  23. Hi there! I know this is somewhat off topic but I was
wondering which blog platform are you using for this
site? I'm getting sick and tired of Wordpress because I've had problems with
hackers and I'm looking at alternatives for another platform. I would be awesome if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.

  24. First of all I would like to say terrific blog! I had a quick question
that I'd like to ask if you do not mind. I was curious to find out how you center yourself and clear your thoughts prior to writing. I've had difficulty clearing
my mind in getting my ideas out. I do enjoy writing but it
just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes tend to
be wasted just trying to figure out how to begin.
    Any ideas or tips? Kudos!

  27. Hello! I am about to start my own website and was wondering if you know where the best place to acquire a website url is?
I'm not even sure if that's what its called?
(I'm new to this) I'm referring to "http://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=6510773540672751770&postID=2935266390261394120".
Exactly how do I go about obtaining one of these for the website I'm building? Cheers
