my creative space::quilt beginnings...

Thanks to the inspiration provided in this book...
and the birth of a baby called Ruby Grace (isn't that a beautiful name)...I am attempting...with this fabric...
the making of a cot quilt...ta da!
I'm so happy with the top layer. The dodgy photos not so much :) The striped fabric will be the backing and I'll have a selection of the quilt top fabrics as the binding. That's the plan anyway...we'll see how it all works out once I get back from my travels.
Lots of creative spaces...probably involving finished projects, over this-a-way.

  1. It's beautiful and the colours are delicious. Keep up the excellent work

  3. It looks fantastic! You've done a great job. I love the colours :)

  4. Oh Kerry,
    That is beautiful.....Ruby Grace ( or maybe her parents !!!!) will be thrilled with it.
    You never cease to amaze me !! XXXX

  5. Beautiful, totally original and cuddly, just perfect for an new baby girl!

  6. That's gorgeous! And so modern ... she'll have it for years and love it! You haven't made it 'babyish' which is sensible. Clever thing.

  7. You are such a doer Kerry, how do you do it all? It looks lovely, baby Ruby will be sure to love it.

  8. As soon as I saw the photo, I knew it was one of Jane Brocket`s as it`s one of my favourites! The fabrics are fabulous and Ruby Grace will love it.

  9. It's looking great!! Love the colour/fabric combinations!!

  10. Just beautiful, a lot of ruby shades for Ruby baby!

  11. It is so beautiful Kerry, I have Jane's book too its gorgeous isn't it. What fabrics did you use, looks like some Kaffe in there? the combination is really well done colour wise. I would love to make this too but in a queen not sure if it would be too much what do you think?

  12. Great delivery. Outstanding arguments. Keep up the
    good work.
