top ten pictures from the week ~ 26.10.10

I think the addicition to pink may have resurfaced this week...

hang on a mo...I can't get blogger to move this neutral one...but I am pretty taken with those eggs...I hope the blu tac holds!

ah, there you go...more pink...
there's less of it here, but still my eye was drawn to the cushion and flowers...but eek, there's lots of blue. I don't really 'do' blue!

but then, I surprise myself with the neutrals...or perhaps it's just the bath...
or the rusticity....or perhaps just wanting to use that word...

but then again...a bit of boho never fails to impress me...and a faded textile or three doesn't hurt...

or the glam of a chandelier in the kitchen...and a stuffed peacock doesn't go astray either...
it's the art in the kitchen and the doors that are doing it for me in this next one...
and the art in this one too...
I may be a bit of a decor flibbertigibbet...
but I know what I like when I see it!
Thanks for popping by...I really wish these pictures were of my house, then I'd invite you all over for a cuppa (or something)
And by the way...it seems I can no longer count!
And don't forget this...
images via the awesomeness of: a punch of color; alkemie; belgian pearls; brabourne farm; centsational girl; glimpse of style; la maison boheme; lanalou; the decorista; the diversion project (I try really hard not to include a diversion every single week, but dammit...that Jules is too good); ticking and toile

  1. Gorgeous, gorgeous images, Kerry.
I,too have just done a pink post for Breast Cancer Awareness month. I'm not really a pink person, but a little 'pop' of it here and there looks lovely.
Have a good week Kerry. XXXX

  3. Oh I just love the pink and blue! AS much as I love the white interiors I'd just have to add in some bright colours - must be the artist (or child) in me!

  9. I spy an airdriondiak (spelt something like that) chair. I did happen to spy that Aldi have them on sale later this week for $99 each. I will be investigating further. (Purely for blog research purposes).
I am loving the pink by the way.

  11. Whilst they are all lovely and I really, really wouldn't mind if any one of those rooms was here in my place...I have to blow up the second image, frame it then just sit and revel in the colours!

  13. oh.. I love the pink room with that bright yellow chair. Not a color combo I usually like but the pink is so pale and the yellow pops so much.

  14. okay, i just cant resist a comment here Kerry... i too LOVE LOVE LOVE the art in the rooms especially the awesome intriguing portrait in the niche between the shelves in the last pic, but REALLY....my goodness, the top picture....yuck!! the only nice thing is the pink wall...I know it's the raging designer mags latest greatest idea, but honestly what gives with the framed wallpaper arranged like patchwork??? gawd!! i gag everytime i see that in home decor mags here in Canada too.
I say: stand up for integrity...go REAL art, or go home!! hear hear. ha ha
