Start saving those champagne wires for next year people J
Who would have imagined you could make a Christmas wreath out of champagne leftovers...my good friend Chris, that's who!
Goodness knows how many bottles of champagne had to be drunk sacrificed to make this little beauty. I'm pleased to say that I may have contributed once in a while throughout the past year. I like to be helpful J Here it is hanging on the mirror.
Chris said she went minimal with the decorating this year (like me!)...but she certainly knows how to fling a few baubles in a bowl!
Chris and Terry are going to let me photograph their beautiful townhouse over the holidays so that I can show you on the blog...here's a sneak peek...
...you won't be disappointed!

That wreath is so festive!! I've always hated throwing out the wire tops from the bottles. I saw somewhere they had been made into tiny chairs. Very clever.
ReplyDeleteI'll be looking forward to the house tour. I do enjoy a sticky beak!
Have a great week x
Hello Kerry:
ReplyDeleteThe simplest of decorations, although in this case we should say deceptively simple, are so often the best and this 'champagne' wreath certainly looks effective and is definitely unusual. We shall start popping corks this instant and should, with luck, have our own before the weekend!!
Clever wreath but I love the look of their townhouse and look forward to the tour. Thanks for sharing Kerry. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI just facebooked that to a girl who drinks more bubbly than anyone I know......I'm off to see this charming house now
ReplyDeleteOh, I thought there was link....I'll wait for your post.
ReplyDeleteLove it. I'm saving up from now on. I want to see how long it takes for me to get enough for a wreath! xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely idea - a wreath that's testament to a year of celebration!
ReplyDeleteOooh, I'd be willing to make the effort to drink the odd champagne to end up with that ;)
ReplyDeleteFabulous!
I love the wreath! It would take me years to have enough wire!! We really only have it on Christmas and New years. Well, now I have an excuse to drink more of the lovely stuff!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane
Man, that is clever! Who would have thought!
ReplyDeleteAaah, what lovely lives they lead. Lots of champers and a beautiful home. Good friends indeed, A x
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you made a most worthy and earnest contribution to this stunning wreath, and I can't wait to see more of this great looking home. xx
ReplyDeleteThat is the coolest wreath ever! I'm saving this for next year x
ReplyDeleteSitting here with a glass of bubbles after a sad day - I'll have to go and dig the champagne wires out of the bin. Who would have thought they could actually be useful (apart from keeping the bubbles bubbly). Looking forward to seeing more! PS 2B (tim bohm) are a great group of designers I've worked with. Not a bad spot to start...
ReplyDeleteKerry, I always said you were a leader. And now you have led me to believe I must create such a wreath. Pity I hadn't read this post prior to the weekend or I would have been well on my way.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the champagne wreath. Count me in! And I too fling baubles in bowls- is the new black x
ReplyDeleteWow, that's very stylish and I love the wreath. Have a lovely Christmas..Rachaelxx
